Q: Why is the status of my revised manuscript 'Under Review' even after 33 days?
I submitted the revised manuscript along with my responses to all the comments of two reviewers. Within two days, the status changed to ‘Under Review,’ but even after 33 days, the status is still the same. Do you have any comments/suggestions for this situation? Thanks in advance.
You haven’t mentioned whether the journal initially asked for a major or a minor revision. However, from your query, I understand it may have been a major revision. If so, as you may know, the review of a revised manuscript for which major revision was requested takes time. Additionally, the time here may be due to the holiday season, due to which one or both reviewers may be on leave. You can wait until mid-January, when the holiday season gets over, to see if the status changes. If not, you can write to the editor politely seeking an update.
