Q: Status – “New reviews have been submitted and are being considered by the editor.”

Detailed Question -

Hi there. I have submitted my manuscript to a journal. It has passed through editor desk check and peer review with 2 reviewers. However, now it has been stuck at the status of "New reviews have been submitted and are being considered by the editor" for 1-2 weeks. Any advice on how I should progress? How many days should authors wait for Editor consideration? Thank you all.

Answer:

Review times tend to vary depending on the target journal, and some journals may take a long time to get back with a decision. We understand this can be difficult, but if you find the status remaining unchanged after a few more weeks, you can write to the journal, requesting an update on the status of your manuscript.
