Q: What does status change from “with managing editor search” to “all reviews complete” mean during peer review?

Detailed Question -

“What does it indicate when the submission status changes from “with managing editor search” to “all reviews complete?” I had previously submitted my manuscript to a journal with scholarone submission system and initially the status was “with managing editor search” which remained for more than two months and then changed to all reviews complete”

Answer:

If I understand correctly, you have submitted your manuscript to a journal having a ScholarOne submission system and recently the submission status has changed from “with managing editor search” to “all reviews complete.” It is possible that your manuscript has passed the editorial assessment and has completed the peer review. You are likely to receive a decision on your manuscript shortly.

You can again send a follow up email to the journal or call the journal editor to have a clear picture of the progress. You should receive the final decision soon.
