Q: What does the status "With Editorial Board" mean?
I submitted a manuscript 45 days ago through "Scholar One" system, the status was "With Administrator" and after one day it changed to "With Editor". Subsequently, after 32 days the status has changed to "With Editorial Board" and it is the same till now. What does it mean?
The status “With Editorial Board” implies that the journal’s editorial board will take a decision on your manuscript. This could possibly be because the editor is unable to make a decision about whether to send your manuscript for peer review. Also, for some journals, it is a general policy to send all manuscripts to the editorial board for approval before sending them out for peer review. The next status change will hopefully make things clearer.
